The right panel of the triptych is titled “The Cycle of Life”. This returns to the mythology of corn as a metaphor for the Americas with an image of death and the underworld. According to the artist, the multi-colored corn growing above the depiction of death represents the world’s many races and cultures, which all share the same core.
